Creighton University Scholarships 2021

Eligibility

  • Medical Student at or near the end of the second or third year of medical education.
  • Member of the NMA Medical Student Chapter.
  • Buffalo County resident (determined by residence of parent or other indices of independence).
  • Good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership qualities (a judgment of such traits as measured at the time of selection).
  • The student agrees to correspond with the Buffalo County Medical Society and the Nebraska Medical Foundation at least once a year concerning their activities during the third or fourth year of medical school.
  • Demonstrable financial need.

Policies & Procedures

  • Nominee for the award shall be selected by an appropriate standing or special committee of the faculty of the Creighton University School of Medicine chaired by the Dean of the College and be based on competitive application.
  • Final selection of the award shall be made by the NMF Awards Committee taking into consideration the recommendations of the University Nominating Committee. 
  • Presentation of the award shall take place during the Annual Meeting of the Nebraska Medical Association; the scholarship will be presented by the president or representative from the Buffalo County Medical Society.
