The Nebraska Medical Foundation provides scholarship opportunities to medical students who have demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership. Please review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship below.

Creighton University Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

  • Attending medical school in Nebraska.
  • Current first, second, third, or fourth year medical student.
  • Member of the NMA Medical Student Chapter.
  • Resident of Buffalo, Franklin, Harlan, or Phelps County in Nebraska (determined by residence of parent or yourself).
  • Good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership qualities (a judgment of such traits as measured at the time of selection).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Attending medical school in Nebraska.
  • Current third or fourth year medical student.
  • Member of the NMA Medical Student Chapter.
  • Outstanding scholarship (as judged by a cumulative assessment of such performance during medical school education).
  • Demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership qualities (a judgment of such traits as measured at the time of selection).
  • Planning to do a residency in family practice, OB/GYN, surgery, internal medicine or pediatrics (with preference in order listed).
  • Planning to practice in rural Nebraska in a town with population of 15,000 or less.
