The Nebraska Medical Foundation provides scholarship opportunities to medical students who have demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership. Please review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship below.

  • Buffalo, Franklin, Harlan or Phelps County resident (determined by residence of parent or other indices of independence).

  • Good academic standing.

  • Demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership qualities (a judgment of such traits as measured at the time of selection).

  • Good academic standing.
  • Demonstrated outstanding traits of character and leadership qualities (a judgment of such traits as measured at the time of selection).
  • The student agrees to correspond with the Platte Loup Valley County Medical Society and the Nebraska Medical Foundation at least once a year concerning their current activities in medical school.

  • Planning to do a residency in family practice, OB/GYN, surgery, internal medicine or pediatrics (with preference in order listed).
  • Planning to practice in rural Nebraska in a town with population of 15,000 or less.
