Controlled Substance CME Requirements
All physicians that prescribe controlled substances are required to have 3.0 of opioid prescribing CME completed by the 2020 licensure renewal date. 0.5 hours of this must be on the PDMP and is due to LB731 (full bill located here):
LICENSURE RENEWAL
On the renewal form, physicians will be asked if they prescribe controlled substances and to attest that the CME requirements have been completed. Please note the 3.0 hours required are included in the 50.0 total CME needed for licensure renewal.
