The NMA Annual Membership Meeting is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a day filled with valuable learning, participate in the NMA business meeting and resolutions, celebrate colleagues during the awards and inauguration luncheon, and network throughout the day. The annual conference takes place on the third Friday of August and is held in either Omaha or Lincoln.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Educational Sessions: Delve into thought-provoking discussions on a range of timely topics. Recent past sessions include: The Impact of AI on Health Care, Medicaid Managed Care, Physician-led Health Care, and Diversity & Inclusion. These CME sessions are designed to keep you informed and up to date.

Business Meeting: Our business meeting includes the State of the NMA from your current president, financial status updates, an overview of current NMA efforts, the announcement of your newly elected Board of Director members, an NMPAC update, presentations by special guests, and resolutions. It’s your chance to be informed and engaged in the decisions that shape our organization.

Resolutions Process: Your voice matters. The resolution process is driven by member engagement, with an online comment period taking place two weeks prior to the meeting. During the resolution portion of the business meeting, members have the opportunity for in-person testimony, discussion, and vote. This process allows you to advocate for the issues that matter most to you and your patients.

Celebration: Join us in honoring the newly inaugurated NMA president and celebrating the achievements of our Award Winners and 50-year Practitioners during the Inauguration and Awards Luncheon. In addition, cap off the day at the President’s Reception and networking social—a time to connect with fellow physicians and forge new friendships within the NMA community.
