Nebraska License Renewal Update

Nebraska License Renewal Update

December 18, 2020

RENEWAL UPDATE:  Per Executive Order 20-10, license renewal is being deferred for certain license types. Licenses for these license types will not expire until further notice and when the COVID-19 State of Emergency is lifted; therefore, expiration dates for these licenses will appear as 06/30/2021 on License Lookup unless the licensee has renewed.

Renewal will be open beginning in January 2021 for the below named license types affected by Executive Order 20-10. Licensees in these license types are not required to renew at this time. However, they may choose to renew or continue to defer renewal. If they choose to renew now, go to dhhs.ne.gov/renew. The record of licensees in any of these license types who choose to renew prior to the end of the declared emergency will reflect a new expiration date. A wallet card can be printed to verify the new expiration date at https://www.nebraska.gov/LISSearch/search.cgi.

If the licensee chooses to continue to defer renewal, the Licensure Unit will notify them when renewal is required. Licensees will then have 90 days to renew. For information regarding Continuing Competency waivers, click here http://dhhs.ne.gov/licensure/Documents/ContCompWaiverInfo.pdf.
